One-of-a-Kind Vintage China Mosaics

Mosaic Work/Play Dates:

Connie offers dates throughout the year to teach her unique style of mosaic design, using vintage china and other found materials to create one-of-a kind art. These work/play sessions are interactive and participants learn about design, safety, materials and techniques. For those of you from out of state who cannot attend a workshop, a detailed class outline that includes information about safety materials, design, techniques and resources is available for $10 plus shipping and handling.  Private sessions are also available by appointment, as are custom designed objects created especially for you using your own damaged family heirlooms and/or from Connie’s vast collection of vintage materials to create “Beauty From Brokenness”.

Each mosaic creation by Constance Funk is a one-of-a-kind work of art using found vintage materials as well as clay shapes made by hand. Thes   e pieces have been made by pressing Depression era glass, seams of old worn jeans, and and antique lockets, among others, into the clay to give it vintage appeal  that tells a story. The story is that life is a mosaic of all of our experiences and that it is never too late to have a happy childhood, starting at this present moment.
